Lonca is a US-based B2B e-commerce platform that facilitates wholesale sourcing of fashion products from Turkey across the globe. We work with hundreds of verified brands. Our customers include boutique sellers as well as sellers on e-commerce platforms like Amazon. We provide an end-to-end experience, and take care of the entire process from order to delivery. Who are the founders of Lonca?

Lonca was founded by Ahmet Serhat Kirici, Serif Melih Demirci and Semih Berk Oncel. Ahmet Serhat Kirici is an MBA candidate at Stanford Graduate School of Business and former consultant at Bain & Company, focusing on e-commerce, CEO’s office at Lidyana (High-end apparel e-commerce), and Technical Product Manager at Amazon Retail.


Serif Melih Demirci is a former founder of two startups, worked at Insider (raised $32M in Series C Funding last year) as CEO’s office business analyst, and worked as a Growth Executive at Getir (Turkish on-demand delivery unicorn - valued at more than $7.5B, raised more than $1B in 2021), and his family owns an apparel manufacturing business.


Semih Berk Oncel was a former consultant at Mastercard Data Services focusing on SME’s, and his family owns dollar store businesses.

How do I place an order on Lonca?

As a buyer, you can choose from an extensive list of unique products listed on our website. Choose the quantity of the product you want to order and add your shipping address. You will see the total cost inclusive of shipping, in your cart. Once you make the payment, Lonca works with the brand to get it processed and shipped directly to you. We provide an end-to-end experience and take care of the entire process from order to delivery.

My VAT number is not valid, what should I do?

You are facing a problem when entering your VAT number? In this article, we indicate the actions to be taken in each case.

The format of my VAT number is not valid

It seems that a typo occurred when you entered your VAT number. We invite you to double-check your information and to update your number on our platform, either in your account settings or when finalizing your order. To verify the format of the VAT number according to your country, please refer to: the European Commission’s FAQ.

My VAT number has a valid format, but is still not accepted

It seems that your VAT number was not accepted because it is not registered for intra community purchases. In order to make purchases outside of your country of origin and within the European Union a VAT number that is registered on the VIES system is necessary. If you don’t have this number, you can still make purchases but please keep in mind that we cannot exempt VAT from the within European Union purchase if the VAT number is not valid. We invite you to contact your tax authority to update the data in the national VAT Information Exchange System (VIES) (only national tax authorities can update VIES data). The tax authority to contact is always the one that issued you the VAT identification number for which errors or incorrect data were found. This tax authority can be determined by the country code, which precedes the VAT identification number. Changes are made in accordance with the internal procedures of the Member State / Northern Ireland concerned. I want to place an order for a customised product, how do I do that?

Once if you want to place an order for a quantity that’s larger than the mentioned quantity on a product page, you can click on the ‘Enquire Now’ button present on the product page. Alternatively, you can contact us through lonca@lonca.co. Our team will get in touch with you to discuss the terms and help you finalize the order.

How can I get the invoice for my order?

Upon successful payment for your order, a soft copy of invoice for all the products and services such as shipping for an order will be sent to your registered email id. Additionally, there will be a printed invoice attached with each of your delivery shipments.

What are the available payment options on Lonca?

Our payment options depend on your shipment country regulations. Please check our payment page to check the available payment methods based on your country of shipment.


All your transactions are covered under consumer protection and dispute resolution mechanisms available in the US.

What are the payment terms for my order?

You will be able to see the entire cost of your order, including shipping, upfront at the time of payment. Once you have placed your order, we will take care of the entire process from order to delivery. At Lonca, we provide an end-to-end experience. Choose your products, pay online and conveniently track orders. Lonca handles the rest.

What should I do if my payment fails?

You will receive a payment failure email upon the unsuccessful payment. The items you attempted to checkout with will remain in your cart, your shipping and billing information will be saved, and you can retry making the payment. If the issue persists, please write to us at lonca@lonca.co and we will resolve the issue.

The amount from my card was deducted but I do not see the order placed under my account?

Although this is very unlikely, if this happens please check if you have received an order confirmation or payment failure email. If the payment has failed and the amount has been deducted from your card, you should receive a refund within 5 to 7 days to your bank account. You can also write to us at lonca@lonca.co.

Does Lonca pay import duties and clear the shipment at customs?

At the time of import into the destination country, our logistics partner will clear the shipment at customs. However, if the value of goods exceeds the threshold value beyond which import duties are levied (i.e. the de minimis value), the buyer will have to pay the import duties levied. You can find the de minimis value of some major countries/regions here:

Are my payments and information secure?

We guarantee a 100% safe and secure checkout experience. Additionally, your payment will be done to the seller via Lonca which is a US-based entity, offering you all the consumer protections and dispute resolution mechanisms available in the US. You will be charged only in US Dollars.


How does Lonca shortlist their brands?

Assessing the credibility of a brand that’s located on the other side of the world is a challenging task for any retailer. This is why Lonca strongly focuses on ensuring that every brand on its platform is extremely credible and compliant on all fronts - legal, financial and ethical. We shortlist our brands based on the quality of their products, their brand values, industry experience, export history, and associations with renowned organizations like the World Fair Trade Organization, Craftmark, etc.

Who are the brands on Lonca?

Brands on Lonca are the actual owners of their brands and not just resellers. We ensure transparency by keeping their profiles public on our website. We verify statutory registrations like company filings, incorporation certificates, and tax details before listing a brand.

Can you tell more about the brand verification process followed at Lonca?

Our on-ground team conducts a thorough physical inspection of the brands’ factories to verify their manufacturing capabilities and compliance with our QC process before onboarding them. Any claims by brands about their products - organic, eco-friendly, fair-trade, etc. - are verified by checking the corresponding certifications for the same. The sellers that are onboarded strictly follow existing statutory rules and guidelines relating to child labor laws, minimum wage laws, and environmental laws. We also confirm the brands’ ability to conform to compliance requirements for the destination country and their ability to meet packaging requirements for international shipping.

How do you ensure that products are delivered as per specification?

Our in-house QC team does a virtual and/or physical QC check for all our orders, irrespective of the size or value of the order. We keep our process transparent and you can request for an inspection. Our QC process includes a visual inspection, a functionality check, a compliance check and a packaging check.

Can you describe Lonca QC process in detail?

The QC process includes:

  • Visual Inspection: This involves a visual analysis of products before dispatch by the brand to ensure that the product conforms to the mentioned specifications.

  • Functionality Check: This involves evaluating the functional aspects of the product - especially moving components such as zippers, lids, closures etc.

  • Compliance Check: We check if the product is compliant with the international standards, rules, and regulations of the destination country.

  • Packaging Check: We carry out packaging tests in accordance with International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) standards to ensure safe cross-border shipping. We use bubble wrap and appropriate dunnage for all shipments, and conduct extensive drop tests before the shipment is dispatched.

How long does it take for items to be delivered?

We use several international logistics partners to ship products globally. It takes 7-10 business days to be delivered to your door.

What is your shipping rate?

The shipment rate depends on both the destination country and the selected carrier provider. Please fill the correct shipping address to see the exact shipment cost of your selected items before you order!

How can I make a refund or exchange request?

At Lonca, we do not offer refunds. However, if you need to exchange an item, simply visit your profile page and submit a request through the 'Exchanges' tab. Your exchange request will be processed within 1-2 business days.

How do you ensure that products are delivered in time?

We have dedicated quality control teams that track each order from confirmation to final delivery. We are in constant touch with sellers throughout the production, so that we can preempt and rectify any discrepancies during the production process.

How are items packed?

Each retail unit/set of all the products will come with its own primary packaging - extra care will be taken to ensure that fragile items are not damaged in transit as we follow ISTA standards.

Do you ship to Amazon warehouse?

We currently don’t ship to Amazon warehouses. If we do launch this service in the future, we will update the information on our site.

Do you offer dropshipping?

We currently don’t offer dropshipping. If we do launch a dropshipping service in the future, we will update the information on our site.
